RHONJ Exclusive: Bravo Pausing for Summer; Cast unclear if they will return for Season 14

When RHONJ News returns for season 14, it won’t be the same Jersey we have seen the last few seasons.

AllAboutTRH can exclusively report that Bravo is putting rhonj news on “pause” for the summer – meaning they won’t follow their normal filming schedule.

For the past several years, Real House of New Jersey has followed a strict filming schedule that took place from May to August. We’ve followed the cast as they have enjoyed their summers at the Jersey Shore for numerous seasons. However, Bravo is switching things up for season 14.

Filming for season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey won’t begin until the fall – our sources are telling us filming could begin as early as September, but it’s more likely that filming will take place from October to December.

The plan is for RHONJ to return to its roots a bit and be a more “family-oriented” show once again. With Bravo switching up the filming schedule for RHONJ, this will help freshen up the franchise even if they don’t make any serious casting changes for season 14.

Speaking of casting changes, there are numerous reports circulating that EVERYONE in the RHONJ cast is returning for season 14.

AllAboutTRH can confirm that this gossip is FALSE.

Now, let’s be clear – EVERYONE in the cast could very well be back for season 14, especially with everything that went down at the season 13 reunion. However, the truth is NO ONE in the cast knows their fate on the show at this point in time.

Contracts are NOT out yet, which would be the case if filming was set to start at the end of the month or early June. Initially, filming was supposed to start next month, but that is “not happening,” according to one of our sources.

Because of this, the majority of the RHONJ cast is lying low, with the exception of Melissa Gorga, who is out there telling everyone and anyone that she’s not leaving the show.

An RHONJ producer friend tells AllAboutTRH that no one in the cast “knows if they will return next season or not.”

However, the insider notes that “every Housewife wants to come back.”

So, what is Bravo’s plan for season 14?

Sources tell AllAboutTRH that Bravo plans to give fans a breather from the franchise as they spend the next few months figuring out casting. Most likely, everyone in the cast will be back for season 14, but Bravo knows that fans are over the drama between Teresa Giudice and the Gorgas. The network needs to see if they can find a way to have Teresa and the Gorgas coexist on the show without their family feud taking center stage. This may mean adding some new faces to the show as either full-time cast members or friends. It could also mean that the cast may remain the same for season 14 but that certain cast members’ roles on the show will change – meaning some could be demoted to friends or some friends could become full-time cast members.

All in all, there are a lot of moving parts for Bravo to work through before production on season 14 of RHONJ begins. The network doesn’t want to rush things; they want to ensure that RHONJ continues being successful in the ratings and popular with fans.

RHONJ currently stars Danielle Cabral, Jennifer Aydin, Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, and Rachel Fuda. Jennifer Fessler and Jackie Goldschnieder also star on the show as friends of the Housewives.
