If Melissa Gorga has her way, she’s not going anywhere on RHONJ anytime soon.
The longtime RHONJ star insists that she’s not leaving the show anytime soon despite the gossip that she is about to be fired from the franchise and/or plans to walk away from the show altogether.
On the latest episode of her On Display with Melissa Gorga podcast, the 44-year-old addressed gossip that she’s planning to leave RHONJ following the most recent drama with her estranged sister-in-law Teresa Giudice.
“I have no intentions on leaving,” Melissa shared. “I never run away when the going gets tough; that’s not my personality.”
“Our family has been through ups and downs for so many years on this show,” she added. “I have never left before, and I have no intentions on leaving now.”
However, just back in February, Melissa told PEOPLE that she and her husband, Joe Gorga, have considered walking away from RHONJ.
“Yeah, I mean listen, when the time is right,” she said at the time. “I think we’ll know when the time is right, and it’s just not working anymore.”
“For right now, I love Bravo. I love being a part of the show,” she continued. “I feel like we got this right [now]. We got it handled over here, we’re doing OK, but when the time is right, I will walk, and I will take it as a wonderful memory. I’ll know when it’s time. I’ll know. But I’m not going anywhere as of now. You’re going to have me for a minute.”
Meanwhile, Caroline Manzo recently weighed in on the casting gossip going around social media about season 14 of RHONJ.
The RHONJ OG made it clear that it is way too early to tell who Bravo will or won’t bring back for another season.
Caroline explains:
“You are not gonna know what’s happening till the last … You don’t know what’s gonna happen till this show airs and how it’s received and what the people at Bravo are thinking when they sit around their table and discuss things. There’s so many moving parts to this. So I think anyone would be foolish to make a judgment call at this point in the game … It’s a fool’s game to suggest that at this point.”
Any longtime Bravo fan knows that stars of the Real Housewives almost NEVER walk away from the show willingly. It’s probably happened less than a handful of times. Melissa has no say if she stays or goes. You will rarely ever see a Housewife just walk away from the fame, money, and attention that comes with being on Bravo.
AllAboutTRH can confirm that NO ONE in the RHONJ cast has received any offers for season 14. Casting for season 14 of RHONJ isn’t even on the network’s radar at this point. It all boils down to the final episodes and the reunion. After those air, Bravo will see how fans react and then go on to make their decisions about casting for the next season.
