Melissa Gorgas PR team is hard at work trying to debunk the rumor that she was seen making out with Margaret Josephs friend, Nick Barotta.

Back in August, AllAboutTRH revealed the real reason the Gorgas didn’t attend Teresa Giudice’s wedding and it had to do with a rumor that Melissa Gorga was caught making out with a married man named Nick Barrotta.

This rumor came about from Margaret Josephs ex-bff Laura Lee Jansen who said that she heard about it from Margaret Josephs. In a recent AllAboutTRH podcast episode, Laura Lee tells us when Margaret Josephs told her about the hookup with Melissa and Nick – Margaret actually believed it happened.

We also told you that Louie Ruelas had confronted Joe Gorga about the rumor back in February of 2022 off camera while they weren’t filming to warn him about Margaret Josephs. 

When we first broke out the story, Melissa Gorga and Nick both immediately unfollowed each other off instagram and removed all images of them together which many questioned

Fast forward to today, when the Gorgas PR team staged photographers to snap photos of Melissa and Joe hand in hand meeting up with Nick Barrotta and Margaret Josephs. This is the first time we have seen these two together since the rumor broke out and conveniently was posted during yesterdays RHONJ episode.

The account @elderordonez1 shared the photos 13 hours ago of everyone arriving to a restaurant in New York writing,

Noticeably absent was Nick Barotta’s pregnant wife.

The rumor suggests that Melissa Gorga, a cast member of Real Housewives of New Jersey, was caught making out with a married man named Nick Barotta.

The rumor was initially shared by Laura Lee Jansen, who was once a close friend of Margaret Josephs, another cast member of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Laura claimed that Margaret had told her about the alleged hookup between Melissa and Nick.

When the rumor first surfaced, both Melissa and Nick unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed all images of them together. However, recently staged photographs emerged showing Melissa and her husband Joe Gorga meeting up with Nick Barotta and Margaret Josephs, seemingly contradicting their previous actions.

The ONLY reason this dirty-little-secret of Melissa & Nick making out in the car came out to begin with, was because Marge had it in her carefully assembled arsenal of them - to be pulled out when Madge feels threatened.

I'm just wondering why everyone is believing the crap coming out of a "former best friend" of a HW who's been trying to get on the show for years, as if what they're saying is gospel. Like they wouldn't be lying about their former friend talking crap. I find it all so much bs and totally fake. The fact that The Felon & Jen Aydin went looking for this stuff shows just how they are.

What happens is that Disqus has been a bit more strict after seeing comments on the site that had any type of swear words - so even when you type "sh%%" they will flag it and not post it on the site. To answer your question Roxanne, no I don’t think it makes them look guilty., who knows why they met up?????. Btw , I don’t believe this rumor at all , although I’m not a fan of Melissa-( I have at times agreed with her on some things in the past, but not once this season ) I just don’t think she would cheat on Joey . I do believe though that this rumor came from Margaret telling her x bestie. I’ve always thought Margaret is a sniper from the side.

I don't think many people do believe it. The reality is that even if Margaret did share it with a good friend (at that time) the only reason it is a storyline or on this show is because Teresa and Jennifer agreed to meet with that ex friend to hear the gossip and then ensured it was said on camera.

Teresa met with Penny and Johnny the Greek - it was their salon that Teresa and Kim D went to meet that creepy bar owner guy. It was to set up the stripper allegation. Teresa met with Jan, an ex friend of Melissa's too another season. Jac is the only one I think to bring up Juicy's cheating when she said Teresa told her about catching him with his secretary.

Yes, I remember , all of that I do remember Joey and Melissa meeting up with Penny about Teresa. And someone else too at another time about Teresa., not about Joe cheating. Something else. Also didn’t they go to dinner with Kathy snd Richie at either their home or a couples home talking about Teresa and joes legal issues. All I’m saying is that Melissa and Joe are not innocent when speaking about Teresa and Joe at different times, so that it airs , and a story line. This is all my opinion., no big deal. I’ve been on this site a long time snd though I am a Teresa fan. I see her faults and at times disagree with her actions and stuff. Also although I do not care for Melissa. I do agree with her at times. And I’ve felt sorry for her. When I’ve felt Teresa has said things to her that aren’t cool .

Juicy got caught on a hot mic talking to some chick, " My Wife, The Bish is coming over", after several people came forward saying he was cheating on her. I don't remember Melissa ever bringing up anything about Juicy cheating on the show. I think this whole rumor is bs. Just like it's been bs in the past. And they all seem to always start with The Felon.

Yeah I remember Joe saying that. , that was bad!! I think I remember her making remarks about Joe ( cheating) in the earlier seasons. All I’m saying is that these housewives have all talked to others about each other, just so in my opinion it gets aired. I said I remember Melissa and Joey talking to people. They are not innocent , they’ve talked plenty of smack to each other and anyone that will listen knowing that it will be aired. Margaret is right there too.

There is no way Teresa had any idea that Melissa's old boss was going to be there. It was written all over her face and she knew it was a setup. That's why she excused herself... she wanted nothing to do with it. Melissa (and Joe) came on guns blazing towards Teresa. It was obvious they came on to take down Teresa just like Danielle said. Melissa and Joe are snakes. Period.

When someone abruptly unfollows another it does raise rational concerns. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Do I believe Melissa kissed Nick. I don’t know. This is not the first time we have heard of Melissa’s wondering eye. Years ago, her BFF had accused her of hooking up with her ex. We recently heard Melissa even say “ she wants to drunk dial her ex.”
