Ashley Darby’s life post-Michael Darby isn’t going to be caviar and champagne.
In a preview for the Real Housewives of Potomac season 7 reunion, Ashley revealed that won’t be getting alimony from Michael once their split is finalized.
Reunion host Andy Cohen asked Ashley about the “status” of her and Michael’s prenup, which is when the reality TV star revealed that she was being left high and dry by her soon-to-be-ex-husband.
The 34-year-old admitted that things “really just did not work out in my favor.”
A shocked Gizelle Bryant needed clarification, asking: “You can’t get alimony?”
Wendy Osefo was equally surprised with her wondering aloud: “Why did you sign that?”
This news comes less than a year after Ashley and Michael announced their separation after eight years of marriage.
The two share two sons: Dean, 3, and Dylan, 1.
Ashley’s revelation shocked some fans; however, others weren’t surprised. Some fans noted that Ashley screwed herself over by not having a plan before exiting her marriage.
One fan quipped: “Exiting a marriage without alimony and your own home. Didn’t she renegotiate the prenup terms? She should have bought an affordable home instead of taking on an expensive mortgage with her ex.”
Part 1 of the Real Housewives of Potomac season 7 reunion premieres on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
