RHONY: Legacy Lives On

Is the Real Housewives of New York Legacy spinoff really ‘dead’ as reported by Page Six?

Andy Cohen is shutting down the rumor mill amid a new report from Page Six that the Real Housewives of New York Legacy spinoff is officially “dead.” Days after reporting that contract negotiations between Bravo and the cast of RHONY: Legacy had stalled, Page Six now claims that “the talks have officially collapsed.” “Bravo has rescinded its offers to the talent and that it currently has no plans to put the show,” the gossip outlet reports. The source notes that Bravo “never says never” and could “revive” the spinoff show at any time, like the Real Housewives of Miami. The shortlist for the RHONY: Legacy cast included Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Jill Zarin, and Kelly Bensimon. Tinsley Mortimer was also being sought after by the network. Despite these claims, Andy insists that Bravo fans should not believe any of the rumors about the RHONY spinoff. “Don’t believe everything you read #RHONYLegacy,” Andy tweeted on January 30.

Meanwhile, Bravo insider Kate Aurthur backed up Andy’s tweet, saying: I hear #RHONYLegacy is truly just *on pause* until the casts’ contracts get worked out. At this point, it would be Sonja, Luann, Dorinda, Kelly Bensimon, and Jill Zarin. (No, Ramona!).”

: No, the spinoff show is not officially canceled. While there have been reports of contract negotiations stalling and offers being rescinded, Bravo has not made any official announcement about the show’s cancellation. They could potentially revive the spinoff at any time, as they have done with other Real Housewives franchises in the past.
