Lisa Rinna’s Departure from RHOBH Sparks Controversy

Jim Edmonds reacts to ex-wife's wedding

It seems that Lisa Rinna got axed from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after she demanded a $2 million payday to sign on for season 13. Radar Online reports that Rinna demanded $2 million for season 13, which would have made her the highest-paid Beverly Hills Housewife ever. However, “At this point, Bravo needs Lisa more than Lisa needs Bravo. She was a star before Bravo and will be a star long after Bravo, too,” insiders said. “Lisa knows her worth and knows how to negotiate. Only Lisa is willing to call their bluff and walk away if she doesn’t get the deal she wants. While the other ladies are frightened to upset Andy (Cohen), Lisa is fearless.“ Rinna and Bravo were in negotiations for months, but Bravo ultimately rejected Rinna’s request, leading to them parting ways with the actress-turned-reality TV star. On Thursday evening, Rinna announced her exit from RHOBH. “This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run, and I am excited for what is to come!” Rinna said in a statement. Rinna claimed that her departure was a “mutual” decision between her and Bravo. “After taking the time to weigh her current options and business obligations, Lisa and Bravo have discussed and mutually decided that she will not be returning to RHOBH,” Rinna’s rep said in a statement. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in 2023.
