Melissa Gorga spent much of Wednesday promoting the Real Housewives of New Jersey after the season 13 trailer dropped.
In one of her posts, she claimed to have “built an empire with the bricks they’ve thrown at me.”
Naturally, this claim didn’t go over well with many fans, especially those who are longtime supporters of Melissa’s sister-in-law Teresa Giudice.
“Built an empire off Teresa’s back!!!” one fan quipped.
“Teresa been your story since you came on the show; stop it already, Melissa,” a second fan commented.
A third fan wrote, “I’m really curious what Empire she is speaking of?!? Girlfriend is obsessed with herself! I don’t think I’ve ever [seen] a housewife give so little. Enjoy your last season, Melissa.”
“Where’s this empire we’re talking about???? Thank Home Depot for that,” a fourth fan commented.
“An empire? Where? What products does she have?” another fan said, while a different fan added: “People with empires pay their bills.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns for season 13 on February 7.
