Erika Jayne: Diamond Earrings

Erika Jayne’s diamond earrings saga has taken quite a strange turn.

Remember how we posted all about Erika’s diamond earrings being auctioned off to the highest bidder? Well turns out the highest bidder was Attorney Ronald Richards. Yes, the very same attorney who was a trustee in Tom Girardi’s bankruptcy case and tried to buy Erika and Tom’s former Pasadena mansion. He’s also the same guy who constantly posts about Erika on Twitter, so much so that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has dubbed him an obsessed stalker.

The attorney purchased the much-discussed earrings for $250k on December 7, 2022.

Shortly after the auction, Richards’ wife, Lauren Boyette-Richards, boasted about being the new owner of Erika’s infamous diamond earrings on Instagram.

“I now see why you fought for these, @theprettymess. They are stunning! Should I have Girardi removed? ? #girardifraud #fraud #diamondearrings @bravo_boo @sobaditsgoodwithryanbailey,” Boyette-Richards wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her wearing the diamond earrings.

Turns out fans were shocked and dumbfounded by Boyette-Richards’ post and the fact that she and her husband purchased the diamond earrings.

“Strange your obsession with Erika Jayne…” one fan commented.

A second fan said, “This is very odd behavior.”

“This is one of the creepiest, weirdest things I’ve ever seen,” a third fan shared.

“That’s soo petty and embarrassing, and I’m not even a fan of Erica,” a fourth fan quipped.

Others dubbed the post “classless,” “desperate,” and “cringy.”

Boyette-Richards defended purchasing the diamond earrings.

“These earrings she owned were proven to be bought with funds supposed to go to one family, but it never did. She proceeded to drag out the case so she could keep the earrings. [The] judge ruled them to be sold. We were the highest bidder. That means NO one else bid more than us. Should they have gone for a cheaper price, and the family gets less? Am I not allowed to buy them with our earned money? I don’t get it! So Erika should have kept them because she’s a supposed “celebrity”? Or because she supposedly didn’t know, even though it was proven? If anyone is classless, it’s the person filing appeals and more lawsuits to try to keep them given all the facts. Should have just turned them over like his mistress,” Boyette-Richards wrote.

Tom originally bought the 6-carat diamond earrings for $750,000 back in 2007 as a gift for Erika.

In June, a judge ruled that Tom purchased the earrings with “settlement funds from the trust account created for a class-action handled by Thomas’ firm Girardi Keese.”

Erika was ordered to turn over the earrings, which she did but not before filing an appeal. The reality TV star claims the earrings were now worth $1.4 million, which is still pending despite the recent sale.

If Erika does win her appeal over the diamonds, she will get the proceeds from the sale of the earrings.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in 2023.
