RHOP Preview: Ashley Darby Discuss With her Family How Much Money She Will Get From Michael Amid Divorce

The downfall of Michael and Ashley Darby’s marriage plays out during season 7 of the Real Housewives of Potomac. With the season 7 premiere only days away, fans are getting their first look at the aftermath of Ashley and Michael’s split.

In a preview clip, Ashley’s family tries to pull her into reality when they question her about how she will support herself and her sons, Dean and Dylan, after finalizing her divorce from Michael.

Ashley seems to be very nonchalant about how much money she will get from Michael in their divorce. She also makes it clear that she and Michael have plans to write up a financial agreement together, with Michael being the one creating the agreement. The now former couple also has plans to put their new home in an LLC, according to Ashley.

All of this doesn’t sit well with Ashley’s mom, Sheila Matthews, and her Uncle Lump, who believes she’s not taking the situation as seriously as she could. They encourage her to hire an attorney and make sure that she and her two sons’ interests are protected and met in the divorce proceedings.

“There’s no set amount that he’s going to be giving you?” Uncle Lump asks Ashley. She replies, “Initally, my prenup said that I wouldn’t get alimony, just a lump sum, but my prenup is not valid anymore if were married for five years, and we will be married for eight in May.”

In her confessional interview, Ashley elaborated, saying, “Theoretically, I would get half of Michael’s assets.”

A producer asks: “Do you know how much it is?” to which Ashley replies: “I will never say how much money Michael has. I will say that I think he does well.”

Side note: Michael’s net worth is rumored to be $20 million, but that’s unconfirmed and could be totally wrong.

The producer decides to dig a little more, asking, “How much would you need in order to live comfortably?”

Ashley says: “I can’t even begin to think about how much money I’ll need because I don’t really pay for anything.”

Back with her family, the questioning continues. Uncle Lump asks if Ashley’s hired a lawyer.

“I have not hired a lawyer. We’ve talked about sitting down and having a proposal [written up],” Ashley reveals.

“Who’s writing it?” Uncle Lump asks to which Ashley admits Michael.

Sheila then chimes in, asking if Michael’s name is going to be on the house.

“Not on the house, but we are creating an LLC, and the house is going to be in the name of the LLC,” Ashley explains.

“An LLC with the house in his name? What kind of life are you living? Are you getting a divorce? Or creating another business?” Uncle Lump questions.

“I have made it clear to everyone that I am just starting this process. I don’t have answers right now,” the reality TV star notes.

“That’s why you need someone who is legally experienced. You don’t want to be in the position where this guy is pulling your strings for your future. You need a lawyer,” Uncle Lump fires back.

“Understood,” a defeated Ashley replies.

Season 7 of RHOP premieres Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
