Giving the cold shoulder!
Brittany Cartwright reveals that Stassi Schroeder hasn’t spoken to her and her husband Jax Taylor since they skipped out on her Italian wedding at the last minute back in May.
“I feel terrible and still feel terrible and I do love them. I think about it all the time. I’ve reached out since the wedding,” Brittany revealed on Friday’s episode of Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay.
“I haven’t gotten any response just yet. I’ll try again in a couple [of] weeks or something. I just like to make things right.”
The former Vanderpump Rules star says that Stassi and her husband Beau Clark first caught wind that she, Jax, and their one-year-old son Cruz, weren’t attending the wedding after Jax sent multiple “rage” texts in a group chat.
“Jax started getting in his head, getting worked up about flying with the baby,” Brittany continued. “You know how Jax is, he’ll just text and rage text. He was telling their best friend Rob and he ended up showing them the message.”
She claims that she was unaware of Jax’s texts until after the fact.
“He shouldn’t have done it,” she said. “I was very upset with him. I apologized like I’m so sorry we’re still planning on going. They got so mad at us and didn’t talk to us for a couple of weeks. We didn’t hardly hear from them, and I kept saying I’m so sorry.”
The Bravolebrity said that she and Jax ultimately couldn’t attend Stassi and Beau’s wedding because their son’s passport didn’t arrive in time.
Brittany adds that she feels “guilty” and “bad” for missing their wedding.
“It was so nerve wracking,” she said. “I was breaking out in hives. I did not want to upset them. I wanted to make it. It was down to the last minute, am I gonna go by myself? I felt so bad, and I still feel bad. I’m just trying to give her time. Maybe in a couple months, I don’t know, we’ll be able to talk it out talk it over.”
Naturally, Scheana took Brittany’s side and noted that Brittany and Jax were present when Stassi and Beau tied the knot in a backyard ceremony in September 2020 after being forced to postpone their Italian dream wedding due to COVID-19.
“She should have more compassion for the situation,” Scheana added. “Let’s point out that you were at the wedding, her real wedding, your first wedding. You were there. You helped plan. This is a second wedding celebration out of country.”
Vanderpump Rules is set to return for season 10 in late 2022 or early 2023.
