If you think Bravo firing Vicki Gunvalson from the Real Housewives of Orange County bruised her ego – think again.
The OG of the OC appeared on a recent episode of Brandi Glanville’s Unfiltered podcast where she chatted about the gold years of Bravo.
“We had the best ratings ever,” Vicki insisted before slamming the current OC Housewives.
“They’re plummeting right now. I know I was good TV. We’re down to 700,000 watching season 16 now so it’s not working, the cast that they have and I knew it wouldn’t,” she said.
As for why the current season of RHOC isn’t working, Vicki says that Bravo’s decision to bring new Housewives into the mix isn’t working. She accuses the network of trying to save money by bringing in new Housewives and it just isn’t working.
“[Bravo brings new Housewives on board because] it’s cheap labor. Plus, they have young kids. The viewers maybe want to see somebody else’s lifestyle,” Vicki alleged.
Meanwhile, Brandi and Vicki also teased about season 2 of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, which they filmed last year.
The two former Housewives admit they “didn’t like each other at all” when they first met in the Berkshires.
“You were so mean to me. I went in with a [totally] open heart. And I was like, ‘What in the hell?’” Vicki quipped to which Brandi fired back, “You did not!”
“Ask Tamra. I said, ‘I don’t even know Brandi. Why would I not like her?’ So I went in totally like, ‘Let’s be friends,’” Vicki persisted.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
