Tiffany Moon is opening up about the downfall of the Real Housewives of Dallas and why she believes Bravo decided to put the franchise on permanent hiatus following season 5.
“Historically, Dallas was, of all the currently shown franchises, the lowest-rated one. It’s always been the red-headed stepchild,” Tiffany said while chatting with S’More Date. “It got very little promotion. People complained that they didn’t get new cast photos and intros even though other people did every season.”
She continued, “I think the reason it is on an indefinite hiatus right now is because the cast got to such a dark place that we could not mend those friendships enough that the viewers had anything left to be invested in. You want to see people have conflict and then you kind of want to see that conflict resolved.”
Tiffany also revealed that none of the RHOD cast members welcomed her onboard besides D’Andra Simmons.
“There was this undercurrent of animosity from a few certain castmates [and] I felt unwelcome,” she confessed. “And because of the animosity that I received, especially towards the end, from certain people, our relationships have deteriorated. There’s probably no way that I would ever, ever trust or be friends with some of my castmates.”
Oddly enough, Tiffany admits she is friendly with RHOD OG LeeAnne Locken, which is interesting considering LeeAnne and D’Andra’s history.
“I’m actually friends with LeeAnne. I mean, we’re not besties but I text her. We see each other,” Tiffany admitted. “We have a close friend who is mutual so I like LeeAnne. I thought it would be great if we could have been on together.”
Meanwhile, the reality TV star went on to blame one costar in particular for putting the nail in the RHOD coffin.
According to Tiffany, she thinks that if costar Kameron Westcott had apologized for her behavior during season 5, Bravo would have likely renewed the franchise for another season.
