Garcelle Beauvais is dishing on where her friendship with former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Denise Richards stands after Denise left the show following season 10.
“She’s good. She’s working a lot,” Garcelle told Us Weekly on Thursday, April 22. “I said to her that she looks younger and happier since she left the show.”
Garcelle confesses that she doesn’t think Denise misses being on reality TV but believes she “misses some of the girls.”
The Real co-host admits that being on Real Housewives is a “hard job” and that for Denise, “last year was really tough on her.”
She notes that it was “absolutely” difficult for her to put her private life out there for the world when joining RHOBH during season 10. However, she notes that she knew what she was getting into before joining the show.
Garcelle doesn’t think the same can be said for Denise, who Garcelle believes struggled with being “vulnerable” on reality TV.
“With Denise and I being actors, we’re used to playing a character,” Garcelle explained. “When you’re doing reality, you have to be exactly who you are, and that can be tough sometimes. There’s vulnerable times that you don’t want to share, but you have to because you signed up for it.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns to Bravo Wednesday, May 19, at 8 p.m. ET.
