Kim Richards is already fighting the hardest battle of her life in her attempts to stay sober, but now she has to deal with mourning the loss of her ex-husband and best friend, Monty Brinson.
According to PEOPLE,“It’s Kim who is taking it the hardest. Monty knew what was happening. He was prepared. The wake was very sad and emotional. Everyone is just trying to be there for [Kim] and hope that she stays safe.”
Despite Kim’s success with her sobriety over the last several months, many worry about her health and sobriety during this emotional time.
“She is sober right now which is the best thing she can.If [Kim] didn’t have her kids, everyone is worried what would happen. She is incredibly fragile right now, and with her history, it’s a scary place for her to be.”
Rumors are circulating that Kim’s sister Kyle Richards didn’t attend Monty’s funeral but sources tell PEOPLE Kyle’s been there for Kim despite their issues. “Kyle is supporting Kim throughout all of this. No matter how strained their relationship, Kim, and Kyle are sisters and family is more important than anything. Nothing else matters when a tragedy like this happens.”
