Ramona Singer Demoted To Recurring Cast Member On RHONY

After news broke that Aviva Drescher has been fired from the next season of the Real Housewives of New York, Us Weekly is reporting that Ramona Singer is being demoted to a recurring cast member on the show.

Ramona has been on RHONY since it premiered in 2008. An insider source says that Bravo execs want to switch up who the show focuses on next season.

“Bravo is casting the show around Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman and Carole Radziwill. [When] Ramona carried the show, that is why ratings plummeted, they think.”

The source added that Ramona’s paycheck of $600,000 per season also might have contributed to her being demoted.

Not gonna lie, I was looking forward to watching a single Ramona get into trouble with Sonja next season! But considering LuAnn de Lesseps was also a recurring cast member this past season and she was on almost every episode, I’m sure we’ll still be seeing plenty of Ramona.

Thoughts on the cast announcement? Do you wish Ramona would’ve remained a full-time housewife instead?
