RHONY star Sonja Morgan has been involved in an ongoing legal battle with her ex-husband John Morgan since their split in 2008. As part of Sonja’s bankruptcy case, the two have been battling it out in court on several issues, including unpaid alimony, control of their mansion in Colorado and the $3 million John owes Sonja from their divorce.
Radar Online is reporting that John has refused to pay any of his legal bills and now his attorney is dropping him!
John’s attorney filed a Motion To Withdraw request on Aug. 13 claiming that he and John have terminated their attorney-client relationship. In the request the attorney says that John has “failed to make any meaningful or credible attempt to pay outstanding legal invoices since August 2012, despite having the financial ability to do so.”
John, who is an heir to J.P. Morgan, has an estimated net worth of $100 million and lives on a $19 million private island in Connecticut.
John seems to be very well off so it’s strange that he refuses to pay any of his legal bills. Hopefully he and Sonja can settle their differences in court soon.
