Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Phaedra Parks is one busy lady. Besides having a ton of different jobs, she now has to deal with her husband Apollo Nida, pleading guilty to fraud scheme charges. Apollo allegedly stole the identities of more than 50 people, and laundered more than $2.3 million.
According to the US Attorneys’ office, Feds went after Apollo last year after he and a group of others, cashed tons of stolen U.S. Treasury checks, and checks from the Delta Airlines pension fund. They then laundered the money through bank accounts in the names of people whose IDs Apollo stole. The Feds claim Apollo stole even more money by filing fake tax returns and obtaining bank loans against cars he did not own.
Apollo pled guilty on Tuesday to conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud. He will be sentenced at a later date.
