RHONJ star Jacqueline Laurita struggled to have a baby during The Real Housewives of New Jersey but finally had son Nicholas 3 years ago around the same time her former best friend Teresa Giudice had her daughter. At 18 months old, Nicolas began regressing with his speech and motor skills and even wouldn’t answer to his name. He also wouldn’t notice people entering the room.
Jacqueline Laurita tells People, “We had no idea what was going on.” That’s when Jacqueline took him to see several doctors and found out her son was autistic.
Jacqueline says, “I worry about him being independent when he’s older. I spend all my time researching what we can do for him.”
Chris Laurita added, “You never want to think that your child isn’t perfectly healthy. We didn’t want to believe it was true.”
