But now Carole's response is raising another question: Is she misrepresenting what Sai actually said? ![Carole Radziwill Calls Out Sai De Silva Over Epstein Files Questions, But Did Sai Really Cross the Line?](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/image-33.png) During the October 13 episode of *RHONY*, Carole found herself answering some uncomfortable questions when Sai De Silva and Jessel Taank brought up her name appearing in documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Carole acknowledged knowing Ghislaine Maxwell in the early 2000s but insisted their friendship was never particularly close. She maintained that she never met Jeffrey Epstein, had no knowledge of his crimes, and only appeared in the files because of social emails and invitations exchanged with Maxwell years earlier. According to Carole, Maxwell was someone she crossed paths with through mutual friends and New York's social scene. While she once considered Maxwell a friend, she claimed their relationship eventually faded. However, Sai wasn't entirely convinced by Carole's explanation, and considering the seriousness of the Epstein case, she wanted answers. The conversation grew increasingly tense, particularly when Daisy Toye pushed back against Sai's questioning. But why was Sai being made to feel unreasonable for asking questions about someone's documented association with a woman convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse underage girls? Carole's name appearing in the files does not establish that she knew about or participated in any wrongdoing. Still, the public nature of those records and the severity of the crimes make questions about the association understandable. ## Carole Radziwill Brings Up Her Own Sexual Assault Experience During the conversation, Carole revealed that she had been sexually assaulted by a college professor. She explained that the professor had friends and acquaintances who had no idea what he was doing behind closed doors, drawing a parallel to her own experience of knowing Maxwell without allegedly knowing about her crimes. It was an incredibly personal revelation, and one that deserved empathy. And from what viewers saw, Sai did respond with compassion when Carole disclosed her experience. However, that did not mean Sai had to automatically accept every part of Carole's explanation regarding Maxwell. Those are two entirely different conversations. ## Carole Radziwill Responds and Accuses Sai of Not Believing Her Following the episode, Carole took to[Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/stories/caroleradziwill/4007770939970177396/?hl=en) to share an excerpt from her Substack essay, *Field Report 302.7*. Carole wrote: "Imagine having your name dragged all over tabloids and social media for something you had nothing to do with. Now imagine telling a friend the truth, answering all the questions, then sharing something as personal as your own sexual assault as a college student — something I still find difficult to say out loud — only to have her not buy it." Carole also shared a message criticizing what she perceived as disbelief toward her story, writing: "Men count on people 'not buying it' which is why 1 in 4 teenage girls are sexually assaulted. This is not the message to send young girls." She continued: "It's actually shocking. Especially when done just to make a gotcha moment on a reality show show." ![](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/image-32.png) But here's where Carole's response becomes questionable. ## Sai never said she didn't believe Carole was sexually assaulted. Based on the conversation shown, Sai's skepticism was directed at Carole's explanation of her connection to Maxwell, not her disclosure about being assaulted in college. There is a significant difference between questioning someone's account of a past social relationship and accusing a sexual assault survivor of lying. Conflating the two risks shifting attention away from the very questions Sai was asking. And while Carole has every right to speak about her experience, Sai also has every right to question the explanation surrounding Maxwell. ## Why Is Sai De Silva Being Criticized for Asking Questions? ![Carole Radziwill Calls Out Sai De Silva Over Epstein Files Questions, But Did Sai Really Cross the Line?](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/image-34.png) The Epstein case is not ordinary reality television drama. It involves the sexual abuse and exploitation of underage girls, and Maxwell was convicted for her role in helping facilitate that abuse. When Sai questioned Carole, she was addressing something far more serious than a typical disagreement between Housewives. And when Sai brought up her daughter, Carole questioned why she would make that connection. But for many parents, hearing about the abuse of children immediately makes them think of their own. That reaction isn't unusual, and it certainly doesn't mean someone is trying to manufacture drama. What makes this situation particularly frustrating is the suggestion that asking uncomfortable questions about Epstein and Maxwell is somehow inappropriate. Carole has said she had no knowledge of Maxwell's crimes, and there is no established evidence that Carole participated in them. That distinction is important. But Sai did not have to be satisfied with Carole's answers simply because Carole offered them. Questions are not accusations, and skepticism is not the same as declaring someone guilty. ## Carole Radziwill Wants the Conversation to Move On, But Is That Fair? Carole has also criticized the continued public focus on peripheral figures connected to Epstein, arguing that attention should instead be directed toward the people responsible for the abuse and those who escaped accountability. There is certainly merit in wanting the focus to remain on the victims and the individuals responsible for these horrific crimes. However, that does not mean people should be discouraged from asking questions about documented associations. What stands out about the RHONY exchange is how quickly the conversation shifted from Sai seeking clarity about Maxwell to Sai being criticized for the way she asked. And now, Carole's social media response appears to frame Sai's skepticism as disbelief toward a sexual assault survivor. That is a serious characterization, especially when the two women were discussing different things. Sai can believe Carole was assaulted, show compassion for what happened to her, and still have questions about her account of knowing Maxwell. Those positions are not contradictory. At the end of the day, Carole has every right to defend herself and clarify her past associations. But Sai also deserves a fair representation of what she actually questioned. **Because believing survivors and asking difficult questions about the Epstein files should not be treated as mutually exclusive.** **Do you think Sai De Silva was justified in questioning Carole Radziwill about her connection to Ghislaine Maxwell, or did the RHONY conversation go too far?**
