Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter are clearing up rumors about whether they filmed the upcoming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
Despite being longtime stars on The Real Housewives of Orange County, the two revealed they were not asked to participate in the special anniversary edition of the spinoff series.
The pair spoke about the situation while attending the 34th Academy Awards Viewing Party to People for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, where they were asked if they had joined the upcoming RHUGT cast.
Emily answered first.
“We were not invited to that,” she admitted.
Gina quickly confirmed the same.
“We were not.”
Danny then joked about their absence, saying, “Breaking, breaking, Hip and Casita weren’t there.”
While they may not have been filming the Bravo spinoff, the women pointed out they were still enjoying their night out.
“We did get invited to this,” Emily said, referencing the party they were attending.
Gina added with a laugh, “But we were not there [filming RHUGT].”
She also admitted she didn’t seem too bothered by the decision.
“I’d rather be here,” Gina said.
The upcoming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th will feature a lineup of some of the franchise’s most recognizable names.
The cast includes Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps, Porsha Williams, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Gizelle Bryant, and Lisa Barlow.
The series will also reportedly feature dozens of guest appearances from other Housewives, both past and present, as Bravo celebrates the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
