Crystal Kung-Minkoff says the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast is facing stricter rules behind the scenes this season.

During a recent episode of the Humble Brag podcast with Cynthia Bailey, Crystal claimed the cast has been banned from receiving advance screeners of episodes after producers suspected storylines were being leaked to bloggers.

“Did you hear about this new mega clause in their contract?” Crystal asked Cynthia during the conversation.

“I spilled the tea a few weeks ago. People tell me stuff, and then I say it on here.”

Crystal explained that in most franchises, cast members receive early access to upcoming episodes shortly before they air.

“But I had said that cast, they don’t get the screeners,” she said.

Cynthia suggested the move was likely a punishment tied to suspected leaks.

“Because they think that they leak to the bloggers, right? So they’re punishing them by not giving them because what happens is, if you act right, you get to see the show before airing”

According to Crystal, Housewives typically receive screeners about two days before the episode airs so they know what storylines will be shown.

“But Salt Lake City was banned this season from getting it,” she claimed.

Crystal then said the situation goes even further than that.

She alleged that the season seven contracts now include a strict clause that could result in immediate termination if cast members are caught leaking information.

“Furthermore, now, in this new part of their contract, I guess the girls that received contracts had this new mega-clause that tells them that if they are found to be talking to bloggers, leaking storylines, or whatever, they’ll get fired, immediately.”

According to Crystal, the cast members were required to sign the clause as part of their contracts.

Cynthia seemed shocked by the claim.

“That’s insane,” she responded. “I have been around a long time in this space, and that’s never come up on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

If true, the alleged policy would mark one of the strictest attempts yet by Bravo to prevent storyline leaks before episodes air.
