It looks like major changes could be coming to The Real Housewives of Miami. As fans wait for news about Season 8, production appears to be hitting the brakes, and several familiar faces may not be coming back.
According to Page Six, multiple cast members are currently “on the chopping block” as Bravo delays filming to potentially overhaul the lineup.
The outlet reports that Guerdy Abraira and Julia Lemigova — “who went from friends to foes during Season 7, which concluded with a three-part reunion in October 2025” — may not be returning for the next season.
Sources also said that there could be “a third cast cut that would take fans by surprise.” Meanwhile, newcomer Stephanie Shojaee is reportedly hesitant about coming back, with insiders claiming she “is not sold on coming back for a sophomore season.”
Behind the scenes, another complication may have slowed production. Todd Nepola’s $10 million defamation lawsuit against the network — filed while the reunion was airing — reportedly left production “stumped on how to proceed with his on-again, off-again ex-wife, Alexia Nepola, who is a fan-favorite.”
However, according to insiders, that issue may not derail the show. Sources notes that “not only did Todd file to dismiss the suit (with prejudice) in December, but showrunners have worked around his issues in the past — and would do it again.”
Executives are also reportedly evaluating the cast’s appearance at BravoCon 2025, which took place in November. According to the report, their panel “was far from the most entertaining or seamless of the weekend,” which allegedly “did not inspire producers to rush to pick cameras back up.”
As of now, filming still hasn’t been locked in. One source told the outlet that “there have been conversations about getting the ball rolling next month, but dates have not been locked in, and contracts have not been sent out.”
Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami featured Alexia Nepola, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, Stephanie Shojaee, Lisa Hochstein and Larsa Pippen, alongside friends of the cast Marysol Patton, Adriana de Moura and Kiki Barth.
According to sources, the women are “generally worried about their fates as well as the future of the series,” though sources insist the show is not “on pause.”
One insider added that Bravo “is still very much interested in filming another season but that the network wants to take its time perfecting the cast.”
