Crystal Minkoff & Cynthia Bailey Slams RHOBH Editing: Amanda Frances Storyline Has Gone Too Long

Crystal Minkoff and Cynthia Bailey aren’t holding back about the way Amanda Frances has been portrayed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season.

Speaking on their podcast Humble Brag, Crystal Minkoff and Cynthia Bailey made it clear they think the show has pushed the Amanda narrative a little too hard, and maybe a little too long.

“I think it’s like, it’s enough already, it’s been like 9 episodes of making her unlikeable,” Crystal said bluntly.

Cynthia didn’t hesitate to agree. “We get it. You guys don’t like her.”

For context, Amanda Frances has been positioned this season as a polarizing presence. Episode after episode has centered on tension around her, with group scenes often circling back to the same critiques. Conflict is part of the Housewives formula, but even seasoned Bravolebs seem to think the balance is off.

Crystal went a step further, suggesting the edit itself may be part of the issue.

“I know. They should just start cutting her scenes more and letting her be friendly in the scenes. I just think it’s not nice anymore.”

That’s not exactly subtle. It’s also notable coming from Crystal, who has had her own complicated relationship with how storylines are shaped on the show. Housewives veterans understand better than anyone that perception can hinge on what makes it to air.

Cynthia, who spent over a decade navigating group dynamics on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, admitted the heavy-handed approach is having the opposite effect on her.

“It just makes me have more compassion. I wish I could have pulled up in the manifestation lunch at this point because I actually would have participated.”

In other words, the more the show leans into making someone the villain, the more some viewers might start side-eyeing the pile-on instead.
