After officially leaving The Valley following season 2, the longtime reality star is embracing what sources describe as a complete life transformation. And according to insiders, the change isn’t just talk, it’s sobriety, a new home, a quieter lifestyle and a renewed focus on fatherhood.

A source tells Us Weekly that Taylor, 46, has made major strides in his personal life since exiting the Bravo series.

“He’s doing really well. Jax has been sober now for over one year and 3 months,” the insider shares. “He had even stopped smoking weed and it’s been six months.”

The source adds that the lifestyle shift has “completely transformed his life.”

According to the insider, Taylor is “the healthiest he’s ever been.”

“Everyone around him has really seen the transformation.”

Along with his sobriety journey, Taylor has physically moved on as well.

The insider reveals that he “has moved” into “another home” and remains “close” to his and Brittany Cartwright’s son, Cruz, 4. ““He doesn’t go out and is very intentional with who he spends his time with. Jax lives a very quiet life and spends a lot of his time with Cruz and close friends that are on a similar path.”

On Tuesday, February 17, Taylor shared a glimpse of that transition on Instagram while getting settled into his new place.

“New chapter ? Grateful to @roadwaymoving for making this move smooth and stress-free from start to finish,” he captioned the Reel. “Here’s to new beginnings ??.”

And when it comes to coparenting, there’s reportedly progress there too.

“Him and Britt have been coparenting well recently.”

Taylor previously confirmed his departure from The Valley after what he described as a difficult year.

“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” he said in a statement. “Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”

He later clarified on his podcast that the decision felt necessary after deeper conversations with those around him.

“Myself, my team [and] the producers got together [and] we decided to take a break from season 3. This is not goodbye. This is kind of just a pause on things,” he explained. “The more I talked about it with everybody, it just didn’t seem to make a lot of sense [to] me.”

For now, Jax Taylor appears focused on sobriety, stability and fatherhood — and according to those close to him, the transformation is real.
