The latest episode of The Valley: Persian Style delivered one of its most uncomfortable moments yet, and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi is now explaining what viewers didn’t see on camera.
Tensions exploded when Mercedes Javid invited GG and Reza Farahan to her real estate twilight event — only for GG to learn the event was being held at her sister’s house. The location alone turned the invite into a loaded situation.
“Merce is definitely overstepping by throwing this twilight at my sister’s house and inviting me to it,” GG said on the episode.
Speaking exclusively to Roxanne and Shantel on the AllAboutTRH podcast, GG opened up about why the situation hit a deeper nerve than viewers may realize.
“Yeah, it’s definitely a toxic relationship. It’s hard,” GG explained. “My situation with MJ is not something that people see on camera. It’s ongoing, and it’s caused me to take a lot of space from MJ because I’m like, okay, I know you share your time between us, but that makes it difficult for me.”
According to Golnesa, the real issue isn’t just the event — it’s feeling unable to trust MJ as a safe space when emotions are involved.
“I need to be able to come to you as my friend and vent to you about things, and I can’t do that,” she said. “Instead of you coming to me and saying, ‘Hey, look, I have a twilight, I need to impress, Mauricio couldn’t do it anywhere else, but I can. And your sister’s house… I totally understand if you say no, but is it okay?’ — come to me like that.”
What hurt most, GG explained, was learning about the event in a public way rather than privately.
“Don’t go talk to everybody else and then let me know I’m invited. And if I don’t show up, then I’m not a supportive friend. You know what I mean?”
You can hear GG break down the full situation and share more behind-the-scenes context on the AllAboutTRH podcast, available wherever you get your podcasts.
