Andy Cohen is fully backing the upcoming E! reboot featuring the original Real Housewives of New York City cast, and he’s making it clear he’s rooting for their return.
Speaking on Andy Cohen Live, the Bravo executive shared his excitement about the OG RHONY ladies stepping into their new Palm Beach era, praising both the cast and the nostalgia factor they bring.
“I’m so excited for them,” Andy said. “I texted the ladies yesterday. I think it’s going to be a great show. I can never root against these women. I absolutely love them. I love them together. So does America. I’m going to speak for America and I think it’s going to be great, and I can’t wait to watch it. And I am happy for them.”
Andy also explained why the Florida setting feels like a natural evolution for the group.
“They all live in Florida. I don’t know that Kelly does. Dorinda is not on it. I believe who’s on it is Jill, Ramona, Sonja. They live in Florida — that’s where they really are. I think it will be great. If you watch the Ultimate Girls Trip that they all did, it was really fun. It felt like a season finale in a weird way but now they are embarking in new lives.”
While fans are thrilled to see familiar faces returning to television, Andy confirmed one notable absence: Dorinda Medley will not be part of the cast. Still, the remaining OGs — Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, LuAnn De Lesseps — appear ready to carry the torch into this next chapter.
The project marks a major shift for the former New York Housewives, trading Manhattan chaos for Palm Beach luxury. According to Andy, this isn’t just a reunion — it’s a reinvention.
And if his enthusiasm is any indication, Bravo fans should expect plenty of drama, nostalgia, and classic RHONY energy when the show premieres.
