Reza Farahan is not holding back when it comes to Mike Shouhed’s reaction to being left off Bravo’s newest series, The Valley: Persian Style.
During an exclusive interview on the AllAboutTRH Podcast, Reza Farahan reacted to Mike Shouhed’s social media post in which the former Shahs of Sunset star expressed frustration over not being asked to be part of the new show, while also calling himself an “OG” and suggesting the series could not be duplicated.
Shantel from AllAboutTRH asked Reza directly:
“Mike — who was previously on Shahs with you — was on social media visibly upset he wasn’t asked to be on the show, saying the show cannot be duplicated, calling himself an OG. What is your response to that?”
Reza Farahan responded with a brutally honest — and hilarious — take:
“My response to that is that was tame compared to what I would have said if I was the Mike and he was the Reza. I would have to move. I would move to Uganda. I would be out of here. I wouldn’t be able to tolerate it. It would be like I would feel like I was losing something that was so special to me, and everyone else was still getting to experience it. I would be in like an insane asylum. I’d be medicated. That was tame compared to what I would have done.”
Co-host Shantel then followed up, asking whether Reza felt bad for some of the former cast members who are no longer part of the franchise.
“Do you feel bad for some of them that are not back on the show?”
Reza didn’t hesitate to single out Mike Shouhed in his response:
“Especially him, because clearly he’s agitated and feeling some sort of way. He’s the OG. He called me to talk about it and he was sounding delusional. And I was like, ‘Oh, Mike, I feel really bad, but I don’t think the post lands the way you think you’re landing. I think people are gonna take it as you’re bitter.’ And he did not feel that way. He thought people were going to understand where he’s going from.”
Mike Shouhed’s comments came shortly after The Valley: Persian Style premiered, with his post seemingly reacting to being excluded from the new iteration of the franchise that features several familiar faces and a fresh dynamic.
