Kyle Richards is not here for what she sees as Ashley Darby’s “weird” behavior toward her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky — and even though Kyle says she hasn’t fully watched the scene, she still made her feelings crystal clear.
During a recent Amazon Live, a fan asked Kyle about Ashley’s interaction with Mauricio, which aired during his appearance on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“We actually talked about this the other day,” Kyle said.
Kyle admitted she hasn’t seen the full episode yet, but she’s aware of how it’s being discussed online.
“I don’t know how it was portrayed because I haven’t seen the scenes,” she explained. “I saw something on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ about the interaction, which happened during Umansky’s appearance on ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac.’”
Even without seeing everything, Kyle didn’t hold back on how she feels about the idea of Ashley flirting with Mauricio.
“I mean, if she was flirting, that’s weird,” Kyle said.
Kyle went on to explain why the situation hits a nerve for her, especially when it comes to Housewives crossing certain unspoken lines.
“I would never … be able to date anybody that any of the women, Housewives, dated or were married to,” she continued. “That’s just weird.”
She didn’t stop there.
“I don’t know. I’m like, ‘You’re embarrassing yourself doing that on camera,’” Kyle added. “He just bumped into them, by the way.”
Kyle also revealed that the moment made at least one other Housewife uncomfortable — and she heard about it almost immediately.
The The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared that her co-star Gizelle Bryant reached out to her after seeing Mauricio.
“She texted [me] right away because she felt uncomfortable,” Kyle said. “She was like, ‘Just so you know, we ran into Mauricio.’”
While Kyle insisted she isn’t trying to police anyone’s behavior, she still found the situation awkward.
“I don’t care, you know. Everyone can just do what they want,” she said. “I just thought ‘that’s embarrassing.’”
Kyle did try to walk things back slightly, noting that she hasn’t seen the full exchange and therefore doesn’t want to overstep.
“I didn’t really see [it],” she said. “I shouldn’t really comment.”
The drama comes as Kyle and Mauricio continue navigating life post-separation. The longtime couple announced their split in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage. They share daughters Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 18, and at the time of their separation, they released a joint statement shutting down speculation of “wrongdoing.”
