Katie Rost is once again at the center of concern after her husband claimed she has entered treatment following a medical emergency.
According to a series of now-deleted posts shared from the Real Housewives of Potomac alum’s X account on Sunday, Rost’s husband said she is currently in detox and recovering after suffering a seizure. He alleged that the incident was drug-related and asked the public to respect her privacy.
“My wife is in treatment, I have her phone. TY, for the messages,” he reportedly wrote.
He went on to clarify that he was speaking on her behalf, adding, “I can’t answer for her. I’m upset. She is okay. Gets out of detox soon.”
In another message, he made more serious allegations about what led to the hospitalization. “She took MDMA and started having a seizure. She had already planned to go in, but that happened and the people who have footage, please don’t share it. Like she would say #respect,” he claimed.
He later emphasized her condition in a final message, writing, “All that matters. She is okay.”
Rost, who first appeared on The Real Housewives of Potomac during its debut season in 2016, later returned as a “friend” of the cast in Seasons 2 and 4 and made guest appearances in Season 7. During her time on the show, she appeared alongside Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, and Charrisse Jackson-Jordan.
Following her departure from the Bravo franchise, Rost has publicly struggled with significant personal challenges. These have included a highly publicized and contentious custody battle involving her three children with ex-husband James Orsini, as well as ongoing issues related to substance abuse.
In 2022, Rost shared that she had completed a 30-day rehabilitation program, explaining that she sought treatment to “kick alcohol and Adderall in a medical setting.” After finishing rehab, she revealed she had taken a minimum-wage job as part of rebuilding her life.
At this time, Rost herself has not made a public statement.
