The Real Housewives of Miami star filed a brief document earlier this week, according to TMZ, voluntarily dismissing his defamation lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, and producers Purveyors of Pop. The case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning Todd is barred from refiling the lawsuit in the future.

The filing does not explain why Nepola chose to dismiss the case.

The lawsuit development comes after Todd and Alexia Nepola finalized their divorce earlier this year, ending a marriage that played out publicly on Real Housewives of Miami. The couple wed in 2021, and their relationship — including financial tension and disagreements — became a recurring topic during recent seasons of the show. Their split marked a major turning point for Alexia, who openly addressed the emotional toll of the breakup on RHOM as she navigated life post-divorce.

Todd originally filed the lawsuit in October, accusing the network of defaming him by allegedly misrepresenting his finances to fuel storylines surrounding his wife, Alexia Nepola, during seasons 6 and 7 of RHOM.

The lawsuit specifically cited multiple episodes in which Adriana de Moura allegedly spread false claims suggesting Todd’s businesses were failing and that he might be forced to downgrade his apartment.

According to the original complaint, Todd, 52, alleged that the statements portrayed him in a damaging light, claiming he was “financially irresponsible or suffering from financial distress, despite his multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio and long-standing business reputation.”

He was seeking more than $10 million in damages over the alleged defamation.

Todd also accused Bravo of using his name and likeness on the show without his consent, seeking an additional $1 million in damages related to that claim. He had requested a jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

At the time of the filing, Todd maintained that the statements made on the show were “falsely” presented and harmed both his reputation and business standing.

It remains unclear whether Todd reached some type of agreement with Bravo or NBCUniversal behind the scenes. However, with the lawsuit now dismissed with prejudice, it appears he has chosen to move forward and put the legal dispute behind him.
