Aaron Phypers Draws Disturbing Comparison Between Denise Richards and Rob Reiner’s Son Nick During Divorce Fight

Aaron Phypers is escalating his bitter divorce battle with Denise Richards — and his latest comments are raising serious eyebrows.

While speaking with TMZ outside the Van Nuys courthouse in Los Angeles on Friday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s estranged husband made a disturbing comparison involving Richards as questions swirled around her accusations of domestic violence.

When asked what he believes motivated Richards to accuse him of abuse back in July, Phypers cryptically responded, “What happened to Rob Reiner recently?”

The 53-year-old continued by implying substance abuse played a role, adding, “There’s a lot of influence there, guys. And I’m not calling stuff out, but do a drug test.”

He then doubled down, asking, “When people are on a bunch of substances and washing it down with other substances, what happens?”

Phypers’ remarks referenced the tragic deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, who were found stabbed to death over the weekend in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home. Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested last Sunday and formally charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

According to reports, the 32-year-old has struggled with drug addiction for years and was reportedly diagnosed with schizophrenia prior to his parents’ deaths. TMZ reported that Nick’s medication allegedly left him “out of his head” and acting “erratic and dangerous.”

As for Phypers’ own legal troubles, the businessman waived his right to an arraignment hearing on Friday in his felony domestic violence case, pushing it to Monday instead.

Phypers was arrested in court in October, three months after Richards accused him of “frequent” and “violent” abuse. He later posted $200,000 bail and was released within hours.

Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ history has played out publicly over the years, particularly during her time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The two married in 2018 following a whirlwind romance, with Phypers frequently appearing alongside Richards on the show.

Throughout their relationship, Richards previously defended Phypers against allegations made by his ex-wife, Nicollette Sheridan, who accused him of abusive behavior — claims he denied. At the time, Richards stood by him and dismissed concerns raised by others.

However, following Richards’ exit from the Bravo series, reports suggested the couple’s marriage became increasingly strained. That tension appeared to come to a head in July, when Richards accused Phypers of domestic violence, alleging a pattern of physical abuse that ultimately led to his arrest.

Now, as their divorce battle continues to play out in court, Phypers’ shocking public remarks and ongoing legal issues have only intensified scrutiny around the former couple and their highly public split.

Anyone doubting her is a POS. Two things can be true at once. Denise can be an addict and totally crazy AND he can be an abusive dangerous person.

I wonder how long it will be before one of these two invokes the Epstein Files in these divorce proceedings.

Wow. Just wow. While it’s HIGHLY likely there is some degree of smoke/fire re: his allegations of drug abuse (allegations that I personally do not doubt ?), there is a whole different level of WTF for him to reference what happened to Rob and Michelle Reiner. That was f*cked up beyond the pale ESPECIALLY with smoke/fire now coming into play with not just Denise’s allegations of abuse but Nicolette too??? ? Hmmm… Still, this is a mess on top of a mess inside of a dumpster fire within a train wreck, so who knows what is the unvarnished truth, BUT all these peeps ain’t right in the head AT THE LEAST! Every single one of ‘em need them some Jesus and I’ll just leave it at that.?

To the best of my sleuthing, Nicolette Sheridan has never accused Aaron of physical abuse, let alone DR echoing such allegations. I've always been a big fan of Richards, but I think she's been ill-advised on playing the proverbial victim card, especially when SHE so obviously has "abuse" issues of her own (the kind involving "substances"). Presuming they're going to attempt to use the notorious footage of him threatening to crush her hand, you can bet team Aaron is then going to whip out all the damaging footage of a completely incoherent fcked up-out-of-her-mind Denise Richards. If I were her, I'd pay him a few mill and call it a day.

I’d say A LOT rides on his criminal DV case. If he slides on that (and he might, idk ????), I’d say he’s got a chance maybe ESPECIALLY if he can discredit his cousin (the alleged ‘witness’ to the infamous black eye) because ALL that aside and BIG UPHILL BATTLE that it is, he’s got SO MUCH evidence of sh*t on her! ? Problem is, I think the judge already stymied the drug allegations from coming in and idk if the affair allegations are fruit of the poisonous tree cuz he allegedly stole her laptop/phone to access them. Like I said, mess of a dumpster fire inside a train wreck, but Aaron may have STILL managed to step armpit deep in the doo doo ?. Oh well. ?

Off topic but I will always wonder if Nick sampled some of the drugs that were likely at Conan O'Brien's party that night which caused a severe psychotic episode. This would be in addition to having his meds changed a few weeks prior by his doctors. I just have trouble believing his parents would take him to a celebrity party with their industry friends if he was cycling downward to this degree. Such a horrible situation.

Methinks you're reading too much into it ... the Reiners were poster children for today's hateful and psychotic left, and of course TDS. On a podcast from last year, Sally Struthers spoke of how her "Meat Head" co-star suddenly dropped her as lifelong friend (and with no warning or explanation) when they were both invited to the Emmy's to pay tribute to Norman Lear, who incidentally (according to Sally), stole all the glory for All in the Family wheneveryone connected to the show knew the entire show was Carroll O'Connor's brainchild from the start. Anyway, when Sally saw RR on the Emmys red carpet, she ran up to greet and hug him and he literally put his arm out to stop her, then simply extended his hand out to shake hers with an ice cold, "Miss Sally Struthers ... how are you?". He then ghosted her on SM, texts, and all contact. My point is, RR was a loon and apparently the fruit didn't fall far from the tree.

Why did he do that to Struthers? I don't agree with this behaviour but did she say why he did that to her?

She said that for several years since the show ended, he would call her on her BD or just leave a quick funny message on her "answering machine", but then he suddenly stopped. Then his reaction to her on the red carpet solidified that their friendship was over. She remembered being mortified and embarrassed that he made her look and feel like a "fan" in front of hundreds of people.

Wow, that really is asshole behaviour. I'm not familiar with him in current day but if he was anything like De Nero I get your point. Anyway, RIP.

Oops, I corrected the spelling of De Niro...what a pip squeak he turned out to be but I refuse to let him ruin The Godfather movies. I grew up watching those movies, so I have just disassociated him from those classics. Same with Casino. Loud mouth midget with a soap box who in real life isn't so tough at all.

It seems to me (but idk ????) that they likely feared he would harm himself if left alone and had no idea, no clue what the real danger was, just a hunch. But yeah, it’s quite possible Nick got ahold of some bad sh*t at that party. Hollywood parties are known for that kind of stuff. At this point, I rule absolutely nothing out even the HIGHLY UNLIKELY possibility that Nick was just a patsy. I think he probably did it, but was likely completely out of his mind when he did it…but again, idk ????. He could have been planning this for years for all I know, but I think he had some sort of psychotic break and may not even remember what he did. Horrible no matter what. ? His poor sister ?
