Kelly Dodd ignited fresh controversy involving Heather Dubrow and her husband, Terry Dubrow, after weighing in on long-standing rumors about his sexuality with a shocking Instagram comment.
The drama unfolded after speculation resurfaced claiming that Terry, a well-known plastic surgeon and reality TV personality, is gay. During a recent episode of the Between Us podcast, which Terry co-hosts with his wife, The Real Housewives of Orange County star The Real Housewives of Orange County Heather Dubrow, Terry addressed the rumor head-on.
“What’s the latest rumor? I’m gay, right?” Terry asked on the podcast.
Kelly Dodd soon entered the conversation in the comments section of an Instagram post sharing the clip, making a claim that immediately raised eyebrows.
Kelly wrote, “Lisa her best friend told me he was gay his brother was gay their whole family is gay. It’s hereditary. It’s OK they have a lavender marriage. Just like Kelly Preston and John Travolta it’s fine.”
Prior to Kelly’s comment, Heather said the rumors we’re stupid.
“It’s just so stupid. Why would we live like that? Why would we hide that?”
Terry also explained why he believes the rumor makes no sense, especially considering how openly he and Heather live their lives in the public eye.
Kelly, however, doesn’t seem to believe that, drawing a comparison to another Bravo couple.
“He will never satisfy her just like Kyle Richards,” she wrote.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills immediately recognized the reference. During a now-infamous moment on the show, psychic Allison DuBois once told Kyle Richards about her then-husband, “he will never emotionally fulfill you,” a line that has followed Kyle ever since her eventual separation.
Neither Heather nor Terry has responded further to Kelly’s remarks beyond their initial reactions, but the comments have once again put their marriage under a harsh Bravo spotlight.
