NeNe Leakes may finally be ready to reclaim her Bravo crown.
The longtime Real Housewives of Atlanta icon — and one of the most polarizing stars in Housewives history — is reportedly in talks to make her long-awaited return to the network, sending fans into a frenzy and reigniting speculation about a possible full-circle comeback.
The news was first revealed by X account MCFP, run by @Mary_CosbyFan, who broke the scoop with an emphatic post that read, “IT’S OFFICIAL????.”
According to the account, Leakes has already signed on for Bravo’s next installment of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip.
“The Queen of Bravo is making her triumphant return to Bravo!” the post claimed. “Sources tell MCFP that Nene Leakes has officially signed on to the ‘Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip,’ that will be filming in late January!! Nene will be joined by other OGs from different housewives cities!! Welcome Home, next stop – RHOA! #RHOA #RHUGT.”
Andy Cohen previously announced the upcoming Ultimate Girls Trip installment during BravoCon 2025, teasing a road-trip-style season that will bring together beloved Housewives from across the franchise. Earlier this week, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson also claimed she would be part of the cast, further fueling excitement around the project.
The new season is expected to follow Housewives from different eras and cities as they travel across the country, stopping at some of the most iconic locations in Bravo history.
Leakes famously exited The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2020, marking the end of an era for the franchise she helped turn into a cultural phenomenon. Two years later, in April 2022, she made headlines again when she filed a bombshell lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, production companies True Entertainment and Truly Original, as well as executives from the companies and Cohen himself.
In the filing, Leakes accused the network of “fostering a corporate and workplace culture in which racially insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated , if not, encouraged.” She further alleged that after voicing concerns about racism, she was “forced” out of what she referred to as “the house she built.”
After four months of negotiations, Leakes ultimately chose to dismiss the lawsuit “without prejudice,” meaning she retained the right to reopen the case at a later date.
Now, with reports of her Bravo return gaining traction, it appears that bridges may finally be mended — a move fans have long been hoping for. Whether this Ultimate Girls Trip appearance is a one-off or a stepping stone back to RHOA remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: NeNe Leakes’ name still holds serious weight in the Bravo universe.
And if this road trip truly leads back home? The Housewives world may never be the same.
