Heather Gay is making it clear that her relationship with former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City castmate Jen Shah is firmly in the past — and she doesn’t see that changing anytime soon.
With Shah recently released from prison, many fans assumed Heather, once one of her most loyal defenders, might reconnect with her former friend. However, Heather shut down that possibility while appearing on Scheana Shay’s podcast, explaining that the door is officially closed.
“I think that chapter is closed for both of us and Andy said she’s not coming back,” Heather said.
The comment comes after years of controversy surrounding Jen Shah, who was sentenced to prison for her role in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme that targeted elderly victims. Shah ultimately pleaded guilty and was removed from RHOSLC, leaving a lasting impact on the cast — particularly Heather, who stood by her until the very end.
One of the most infamous moments from the franchise occurred during Season 3, when Heather appeared with a mysterious black eye following a night out with Jen. Heather refused to explain how the injury happened, repeatedly insisting she didn’t remember — a storyline that haunted the season and raised serious questions among fans and cast members alike.
Despite Salt Lake City’s small size, Heather made it clear she has no concern about running into her former friend now that Shah is no longer behind bars.
“Salt Lake is small, but we’ve been able to avoid people in Salt Lake that we haven’t wanted to see,” Heather explained. “So I don’t think we’ll cross paths.”
