Looks like the holidays are getting a little brighter in Jersey. Melissa Gorga revealed that she will be spending Christmas with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, now that the two have officially reconciled after years of tension.
When “Reality Hot Seat” host Justin Sylvester asked if the families were planning to spend the holidays together, Melissa said they’ll be celebrating right at her New Jersey home.
But fans hoping Bravo cameras would catch the moment might be disappointed. When fellow Housewife Heather Gay asked whether the network would be filming, Melissa joked, “No. I know. Bravo, where you at?” She added that keeping the cameras away isn’t the worst idea right now. “It’s kind of nice to do it without the cameras, I have to be honest. We need this time, this healing moment.”
The holiday hangout comes after Melissa and Joe Gorga buried the hatchet with Teresa in October, ending more than a decade of on-and-off-camera fighting. Teresa hinted the door was open back in September, telling Jeff Lewis to “never say never” about a reunion. As she put it, “You just have to let it go and move on.”
And it seems they really have. Since reconciling, the families have been smiling ear to ear, spending time together, going on double dates, and actually talking again like normal relatives.
Jersey might finally be getting its peace on earth moment — at least for the holidays.
