Former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah is just days away from walking out of prison, but according to Andy Cohen, fans shouldn’t expect her to walk back onto Bravo anytime soon.
Shah, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud for a nationwide telemarketing scheme that targeted elderly victims, was originally sentenced to 6.5 years behind bars in 2023. After multiple reductions, she’s set to be released on December 10.
Despite the seriousness of her crimes, Shah’s arrest and imprisonment only fueled more public fascination, leaving fans wondering if Bravo would ever welcome her back. Cohen, however, has repeatedly shut that door — and did so again this week.
During Tuesday’s episode of Radio Andy on SiriusXM, he made it crystal clear: “She’s not coming back to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.” He also noted he couldn’t see Bravo putting her on another series either.
Still, that doesn’t mean Shah won’t find her way back onto screens. Cohen admitted he fully expects her to continue her reality TV career elsewhere. “I wish her all the best in her next life,” he said. “I would assume she’ll wind up on a reality show of some kind, but it won’t be anything that I’m working on.”
Shah’s arrest remains one of the most memorable moments in Housewives history. Cameras were rolling during Season 2 as she got a mysterious phone call while boarding a bus for a cast trip. She claimed her husband was in the hospital and abruptly left. Minutes later, federal agents showed up asking where she was, telling the women they “just needed to make sure she was okay.”
The cast quickly realized something wasn’t adding up and speculated the call she received was actually a tip about her impending arrest. Footage later showed law enforcement officials at Shah’s Utah home as the investigation unfolded.
Throughout the season, Shah insisted she was innocent and maintained that the accusations were false. Several of her castmates even traveled to New York City to support her at what was supposed to be the start of her trial — only for Shah to plead guilty at the last minute.
