Lisa Barlow became emotional on the Tuesday night (Oct. 28) episode of Watch What Happens Live as she opened up about her escalating drama with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-star Heather Gay.
In the most recent episode of RHOSLC, which aired just before Barlow’s appearance in the Bravo Clubhouse, Gay confronted the Vida Tequila founder over accusations that she had been “digging up dirt” on her fellow castmates and leaking information to bloggers. The tense exchange ended with Barlow in tears, firmly denying the claims.
When host Andy Cohen asked if she was surprised that Gay had turned on her, Barlow admitted, “I felt like it was a little snakey.”
She went on to explain how deeply the confrontation affected her, saying, “It hurt my feelings a lot because I thought we were in a great place. We’ve gone through so much together. Two years ago, she had said to me, ‘I wanted everyone to hate you and when they did, it still didn’t feel good.’ So, it really hurt me that she went back.”
As Barlow’s voice began to crack, Cohen gently asked, “Are you getting emotional?” The reality star, visibly holding back tears, responded, “Yeah. It hurt my feelings.”
Barlow’s fellow Bravo star, Real Housewives of New York City cast member Erin Lichy, jumped in to offer her support. “She’s the sweetest. We were together last night and honestly, you are such a genuinely sweet person,” Lichy said. “I feel bad. I mean, you can’t do that without proof, right?”
During the show, Barlow also clarified why she lashed out during the earlier episode, explaining that her reaction came after she had initially defended Whitney Rose against claims from Bronwyn Newport that Rose was spreading gossip.
“That’s when I stood up for Whitney and said, ‘No one here would do that. Whitney wouldn’t do that. None of us would do it,’” Barlow recalled. “And then Whitney, instead of being like, ‘Thank you,’ was like, ‘You did this to me last year.’”
Barlow doubled down on her denial, adding, “I didn’t do it to you last year. It was proven, like all of your false allegations, wrong.”
Despite the emotional turmoil, Barlow maintained her composure on Watch What Happens Live, insisting that her relationships with the women of Salt Lake City remain important to her — even if rebuilding trust with Gay may take time.
