Aaron Phypers Responds After Arrest Outside Divorce Courtroom

The ongoing divorce battle between Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards and her estranged husband Aaron Phypers took a dramatic turn this week when Phypers, 53, was arrested outside a Los Angeles courthouse.

The arrest occurred on October 17, shortly after a hearing related to Denise’s restraining order against him. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing officers approach Phypers near the court, handcuff him, and escort him away, leaving many stunned by the unexpected development.

According to sources, the arrest stemmed from an outstanding warrant possibly linked to allegations of spousal abuse made by Denise earlier this year. Denise was reportedly present during the arrest and remained composed, calmly consulting with her legal team.

Shortly after the incident, Aaron Phypers’ representatives spoke out to clarify the situation. His legal team confirmed that he was taken into custody near the end of the court session and later released on bail.

In a statement shared with Us Weekly, Aaron’s camp strongly denied the charges, calling them “completely false.” They added, “We believe the charges are based on the same false accusations Denise brought up in the domestic violence case, which she says happened almost four years ago. We expect the evidence will prove Aaron’s innocence and that he will be cleared.”

Aaron’s attorney, Michael Finley, said the actor cooperated fully with law enforcement and expressed confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail. “Aaron is committed to clearing his name and looks forward to moving past these allegations,” Finley said.

For her part, Denise Richards has been vocal about the challenges she’s faced during the divorce. Earlier this year, she publicly accused Aaron of domestic violence — claims he has firmly denied.

As the legal proceedings continue, friends and insiders say tensions remain high, with both sides preparing for what is expected to be a contentious court battle in the weeks ahead.

While the case unfolds, Denise reportedly is focusing on her personal healing and relying on the support of close family and friends.

Well, this is a strange turn of events. I wish these two would stop using public agencies to attack each other. They may have to pay court costs for their financial battles, but it looks like we CA taxpayers will be stuck with the cost of arresting, booking, releasing and then taking him through criminal proceedings.

This is ugly on BOTH sides. The ONLY question is which side is UGLIER? ???? I don’t think that question is necessarily as easily answered as we’be been led (indoctrinated) to believe. That said, the black eye still remains the most egregious blight of several on Aaron’s character. As I’ve said before, I believe that this was a toxic AND abusive (likely physically and otherwise) on BOTH sides until Aaron took it to another level because the inconsistency re: that black eye speaks VOLUMES imo. That’s where dude stepped DEEP in the doo doo. ?

The alleged black eye ain't where he stepped in it ... the infamous (televised) "I'll crush your fcking hand" is where he stepped in it. "If" he was abusing her, then he needs to pay the piper Phyper, but I still just ain't buying it. Being a fan, it saddens me to say this, but I think Denise Fcking Richards is a drug/alcohol-addicted mess (with anger issues of her own).

I’m not sure whether or not that ‘I’ll crush your effin’ hand’ statement, damning as it was, is admissible in court since precedent (Jenn Shah) has acknowledged these reality shows are fake, therefore statements made therein generally not admissible. NowTHAT particular statement of Aaron’s ostensibly being a hot mic statement may be an exception, idk. ???? HOWEVER, the black eye photo is not only admissible and was therefore submitted but was also THE basis for the TRO being granted, and continues to be powerful evidence against him on which a damning case (eyewitness testimony from his cousin for starters) was built and will continue to be built whether or not the crushing hand statement is any part of that structure. Regardless you are spot on re: that statement in the court of public opinion. He’ll never live that down. It remains to be seen whether or not he SHOULD ever live that down, but no denying that’s a glimpse into a facet of this man’s character. ?

Of course the admissibility in court (of a reality TV moment) WILL be the big question, but at this juncture it doesn't appear the loony judge is "team Aaron". He needs to get the name of Kunty's lawyer who (successfully) argued that reality TV is pure fiction.

Jenn Shah argued that too (successfully though it didn’t help her outcome). That particular sitch being a hot mic moment might change things re: admissibility but idk. He could claim that was some sort of reality tv faked hot mic stunt too and therefore not real. I doubt Denise and her legal team would actually drag Bravo production into it to try to counter such a claim but who knows? Then, there’s also footage of her dismissing that hand crushing comment as a Nothingburger in an interview, no? ? Messy, messy, messy!
