Former Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder has publicly expressed her disappointment with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, after feeling overlooked in a recent PR gesture. The 37-year-old reality star revealed that Meghan had sent promotional boxes to influencers Claudia and Jackie Oshry, hosts of The Toast podcast, but notably excluded Stassi.
On the latest episode of her podcast Stassi, co-hosted by Taylor Strecker, Schroeder opened up about her frustration. “I have literally defended her when no one else did,I have filmed videos about it, I’ve commented on all the things, I literally had my f**king PR reach out,” she explained, highlighting how she had stood by Meghan during difficult times.
Despite her previous support, Schroeder believes Meghan views her through the lens of her reality TV background, suggesting the Duchess is “stuck in 2017” and still sees her as a “lowly reality person.” This perception, she says, has been a source of ongoing frustration. “I am furious, and this is the last straw. I’m not watching her show anymore. I’m not going to talk about her anymore. I’m going to unfollow her right now! Done,” Stassi declared.
Her discontent also extends to Meghan’s choice of recipients for the PR boxes. Schroeder noted, “When you’re sending PR boxes to people who talk sht about you, Claudia and Jackie don’t talk sht about her, but they literally, they’ve questioned her, and they also say, ‘I wonder what Stassi’s thinking about this. I wonder what Stassi’s thinking about this because Stassi’s her number one fan.’ Everyone f*cking knows. No longer.”
Acknowledging her emotional investment, Schroeder described herself as a “toxic fan” and criticized Meghan for focusing on those who question her rather than those who support her. “That is so f**king batsht crazy to me. I think it’s her way of trying to control the narrative. I think she’s controlling. It’s like Blake Lively. It’s giving ‘control freak Blake Lively,’ and I’m out. I’m tapping out,” she shared candidly.
Adding a personal anecdote, Schroeder revealed that some people have even speculated she lent her daughter Hartford to Meghan, whose daughter Lilibet is around the same age and bears a resemblance. “She could’ve easily sent me a PR box, like making a joke about it,” Stassi reflected. “She could’ve done a million things, And I’m done.”
While Stassi’s feelings of hurt and frustration are evident, her willingness to voice her experience shows a commitment to authenticity, something many fans appreciate. Whether this signals the end of Stassi’s support for Meghan or simply a pause remains to be seen, but it undeniably marks a turning point in their complicated dynamic.
