Lisa Hochstein Breaks Silence on Why She Really Unfollowed Larsa’s Ex

The Real Housewives of Miami is never short on drama, and this week, Lisa Hochstein took center stage, not for a fight, but for finally hitting “unfollow” on Marcus Jordan, ex-boyfriend of her castmate Larsa Pippen. The move may seem small, but in the world of RHOM, it sparked major waves, and Lisa is setting the record straight about why she really did it.

After weeks of tension and group pressure, Lisa removed Marcus from her Instagram following during Season 2, Episode 12, but, as she later explained on The Real Housewives of Miami After Show, it wasn’t about mending fences with Larsa.

“I didn’t do it for Larsa; I did it for everybody else to have peace,” Hochstein shared, describing the decision as “emotional” and long-awaited.

The unfollow came after mounting tension during the group’s trip to Seville, Spain, where several cast members confronted Lisa about still following Marcus online. Though Lisa initially resisted, saying, “She’s not the boss of me. I’m not gonna let her tell me what to do,” the group dynamic pushed her to reconsider.

“I’m like, ‘Who cares?’ Unfollow,” Lisa said matter-of-factly, emphasizing that she just didn’t want “a dark cloud over the group.”

She made the decision in front of Guerdy Abraira, Kiki Barth, and Adriana de Moura, and the trio even made a pinky promise to keep it quiet. Lisa admitted she kept it a secret because she wanted to see how Larsa “would naturally react.”

But the secret didn’t last long.

At a group dinner later in the episode, Adriana spilled the tea — and Larsa was far from impressed.

“We’re so past that,” Larsa said bluntly. “Like, Adriana, that’s the bare minimum.”

Larsa went on to suggest that Hochstein’s motives were anything but sincere.

“[Lisa is] just doing it because everyone’s telling her to do it,” she said on the RHOM After Show. “I feel like she’s getting pressure from all the women… she’s not really doing it for me.”

So what does Larsa really want from Lisa?

“Just have a conversation with me and just basically make me feel like you care about me and my feelings and that you’re my friend,” she said, adding, “I definitely think she would still have followed him, if she could.”

Meanwhile, Lisa wasn’t alone in her internal conflict. During the August 21 episode, Guerdy gently addressed the issue, saying:

“I know that you are not ready to unfollow Marcus. And I know it’s so stupid. I just think that it is the factor that has escalated everything.”

Adriana chimed in with a sharp observation:

“At the same time, I feel like you’re empowering her because she’s using that to [turn] the whole group against you.”

It was a combination of peer pressure and exhaustion that finally pushed Lisa to act. In the moment, she pulled out her phone and said:

“I’m gonna do it,” while still expressing confusion over why it was “a big thing” in the first place.

Thoughts on Lisa finally unfollowing Marcus?
