As season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta wraps up, fans are already buzzing about who will return for the next chapter of Bravo’s long-running reality series. One of the show’s most iconic figures, Kenya Moore, recently addressed her uncertain future with the franchise, delivering both clarity and a few surprises during a candid livestream.
Moore was originally slated to be a full-time cast member for the current season, but her unexpected absence from much of the show raised questions.
Production reportedly pulled back after an off-camera incident involving Moore and Brit Eady. As a result, Moore appeared in only a limited number of episodes and was ultimately excluded from the season 16 reunion.
During a recent livestream, a fan asked Moore directly whether she would be returning for season 17. Her response was frank: “As of now, no. That could change. I keep hearing a lot of different things.”
She elaborated further, saying, “You know, we had been in talks, but as of this moment, it’s a no.”

Kenya has publicly acknowledged the incident that led to her limited role this season. In a statement shared by Andy Cohen during the reunion taping, Moore said:
“I’m disappointed to not be a part of the #RHOA 16 reunion taping today. Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected, including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests, and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.”
While her future with RHOA remains uncertain, Kenya Moore did drop some hints about what’s next for the show. According to her, Bravo is planning to shake up the cast with some fresh faces.
“They’re casting two new housewives,” she revealed. One is reportedly a restauranteur, while the other is a former Love & Hip Hop star. Though Moore didn’t name names, she noted that both are “known people.”
With big changes on the horizon, season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta could mark a major shift in tone and dynamic. Whether or not Kenya Moore returns, it’s clear the series is heading into a new era.
