Over the weekend of July 26, fans began speculating about the bar’s future after spotting workers removing signage from the Studio City location. The sudden change prompted online buzz and rumors about a possible closure.

Taylor confirmed the news shortly after via Instagram Stories, stating he had made the choice to step away from the business.

“I’ve made the decision to end my partnership with Jax’s,” he wrote. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. Right now, my focus is on my sobriety and mental health, and staying connected to my bar is no longer in line with the priorities I’ve set for myself and the life I’m working towards.”

A representative for Taylor echoed that sentiment in a statement to TMZ, calling the move “a carefully considered and necessary step to prioritize [Jax’s] sobriety and mental health.”

Jax’s Studio City opened less than two years ago and quickly became a known hangout spot, particularly for fans of Taylor’s reality TV career, including his role on Vanderpump Rules and The Valley.

While it’s unclear what will happen next with the Studio City location, Taylor’s decision underscores a personal shift away from nightlife and business ownership in favor of focusing on wellness and self-care.
