Andy Cohen Praises Jax Taylor’s Exit from The Valley: “He’s Reading the Room Well”

Fans of The Valley were hit with a curveball this week when Jax Taylor announced he’s stepping away from the Bravo series following Season 2. While the news surprised some, it’s receiving a major endorsement from none other than Andy Cohen himself — and for good reason.

On the July 17 episode of Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM, the Watch What Happens Live host weighed in on Jax’s decision just one day after the reality star made it official. Far from disappointment, Andy expressed support — and even relief — at the announcement.

“Jax announced yesterday that he’s gonna be stepping away from The Valley,” Andy said. “I’m very pleased with his decision, and I think it is reading the room well.”

But Cohen didn’t stop there. He used the moment to highlight what he sees as a necessary opportunity for Jax to reflect and grow, particularly off-camera.

“I think the most important thing is that I hope that he can work on all of his issues,” Andy shared. “And this comes up at the reunion. I have kind of a serious conversation with him about his need for control and his anger issues and what it’s gonna take to get to a better place with Brittany and in the world.”

Cohen’s comments hint at deeper behind-the-scenes struggles that viewers may have sensed but haven’t fully seen. Still, the hope is clear: time away from reality TV might be just what Jax needs.

“I hope that he takes the time to lean into this away from the cameras,” Andy added. “And he seems very committed from our conversations to his sobriety, and I hope that time away from the cameras will further encourage that and further encourage him to get it together.”

For now, fans can look forward to the upcoming reunion, where more of that “serious conversation” is likely to play out.

Lol. One season down time and Jax is a choir boy after the oh so predictable faux redemption arc and rewarded with his own show or some such adjacent nonsense. Just watch. I mean, Andy did once peg Jax as ‘a hole is a hole’ kind of guy. ? And with the two of them rumored to enjoy the snow (if you know what I mean…snort, snort), what’s the likelihood those two haven’t enjoyed a friendly weekend skiing trip or two… and that Andy’s ‘a hole is a hole’ comment wasn’t merely just speculation? ?/ ?? ??. Hmmm? Thus the paving the way for that ‘against all odds’ redemption arc, right Androo? ? ??. I mean, I’m NOT sayin’… https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a519deb48961c876ec44b6c6e42acb84c1c4e56957bbbc322a426022fce39687.gif
