The seventh season of The Real Housewives of Miami has returned with plenty of drama, and one of the hottest topics is the ongoing tension between Lisa Hochstein and Larsa Pippen. Their rocky relationship has been a major storyline, especially after Larsa accused Lisa of continuing to spend time with her ex, Marcus Jordan. Now, Lisa is stepping forward to clarify the truth about their friendship and to stand up for her husband, Jody Glidden, who has been caught in the crossfire.
Viewers may remember the heated confrontation between Lisa and Larsa in the season’s premiere, where accusations and old grievances bubbled to the surface. Tensions only escalated during a trip to Italy, adding more fuel to the fire.
Lisa took to her Instagram Stories to address the rumors and clear up misunderstandings — a clip that was captured by Cindy Cee on X before removing post. She began by emphasizing, “There are so many lies, and I have to set the record straight. Larsa keeps saying that we were best friends for 15 years, and that is not true. We would see each other at events, but we did not actually become friends until four years ago, right before the reboot.”
She elaborated on how their friendship actually began: “That’s when we started talking and texting, and that’s how our friendship began. We became friends because of the show. We bonded through that experience just like Marcus and Jody did. So, tell me how she’s mad at Jody for the exact same thing. This show literally creates friendships, but calling yourself a good friend doesn’t make it true.”
Lisa didn’t hold back when explaining what she felt was a lack of genuine support from Larsa: “Her idea of a friendship was showing up to a court hearing for me that she was subpoenaed to be at. So, that is not being a friend. That’s literally following a court order.”
She also criticized Larsa’s behavior toward other cast members, including Dr. Nicole Martin’s arrival on the show and Guerdy Abraira’s battle with cancer, indicating a pattern of unsupportive actions. Lisa then addressed Larsa’s claims about her husband Jody’s conduct during their time in Milan.
She stated plainly, “And then, Jody in Milan and her telling people that Jody went crazy, and disrespected her. There were more than 80 people there, and nobody saw it?” Lisa challenged, suggesting, “Let’s look at who Jody is. He doesn’t raise his voice. Not to me, not his daughter, not to his kids, not to anyone, not even his ex-wife, and she would tell you that.”
In contrast, Lisa accused Larsa of being the instigator: “But Larsa is literally known for provoking people and yelling. She started that moment in Milan.”
As The Real Housewives of Miami continues to unfold, it’s clear that the relationships on the show are far from simple. Thoughts on what Lisa had to say?
