In a show known for jaw-dropping exits, epic reads, and iconic reunion chairs, The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion is already making headlines before it even airs. The unexpected twist? Brit Eady never showed up.
In a new trailer dropped by Bravo on Friday, June 27, fans were left reeling as Andy Cohen revealed Eady’s surprise no-show to the rest of the cast. Sitting in the hot seats were Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley, and Cynthia Bailey—all visibly stunned.
“Brit Eady has decided not to join us,” Cohen announces early in the teaser clip.
The camera then cuts to a visibly shocked Kelli Ferrell, who quietly mutters, “Wow,” while another voice in the background gasps, “What?”
Eady’s absence isn’t just a dramatic flourish, it’s rooted in one of the most talked-about scandals of the season. Earlier this month, it was revealed that both Brit Eady and Kenya Moore would not be present at the reunion. Eady opted out voluntarily, while Moore, once the franchise’s longest-running cast member, was not invited by Bravo.
Moore’s exit came after a scandal that escalated rapidly. During an event at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa, she allegedly showed guests sexually explicit photos purported to be from Eady’s past. Bravo launched an internal investigation, and Moore was subsequently suspended and exited the show.
Eady addressed the incident on her Instagram Stories the same day the reunion was taped, Thursday, June 5:
“I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,” she wrote.
“I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life.”
But the drama didn’t end there. During the reunion trailer, Porsha Williams pointed to what many fans had already been speculating.
“Kenya had gotten information from a current housewife about Brit’s past,” Williams says.
That led Cohen to turn directly to Kelli Ferrell and ask the question that could ignite another round of chaos:
“Did you send her the pictures?”
Ferrell, visibly caught off guard, was left speechless—a moment that seems destined to fuel speculation until the episode airs.
And that wasn’t the only clash teased in the trailer. Viewers can expect tension between Phaedra Parks and Angela Oakley, as well as a heated exchange between Williams and Morton Mwangi—one so intense it appears to push Williams to walk off set.
Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been anything but predictable. If the trailer is any indication, the reunion will be no exception.
You can catch the three-part reunion when it begins airing Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
