The heat is back in Miami as The Real Housewives of Miami returns for its seventh season—and it looks like tensions are higher than ever. At the center of the drama? Guerdy Abraira and her shifting relationship with longtime friend and co-star Julia Lemigova.
After bravely sharing her battle with breast cancer last season, Guerdy is coming into the new season with a renewed sense of strength—and less tolerance for disrespect. Speaking with PRIDE, she didn’t hold back about where things stand with Julia now.
“Blindsided is not even the word! I didn’t see it coming,” Guerdy says. “There’s one thing to be kind and there’s one thing to be disrespected.”
Their once-close friendship has clearly hit rocky ground, and fans should brace for fireworks. Guerdy hints that a dramatic confrontation—possibly involving a thrown drink—will unfold on-screen.
“At this point in time, when people cross a line, you’re just going to have to really go in,” she explains. “You’re going to see a different side of Guerdy that you’re not going to be ready for.”
Despite the tension, Guerdy insists her goal isn’t conflict—it’s resolution. She emphasizes that her approach is rooted in reaction, not instigation.
“It does get dark, but the end goal is to resolve it. I don’t want to fight! I hope they don’t want to fight, but you never see me proactively look for the drama. I’m reactive, okay?”
At the heart of the season’s conflicts, she adds, is a simple but powerful challenge: communication.
“My intent is to try to move it forward, but people are going to have to listen. Listening is at the heart of a lot of the drama.”
With emotions running high and relationships hanging in the balance, Season 7 promises to be one of RHOM‘s most intense chapters yet.
The Real Housewives of Miami premieres Wednesday on Bravo.
