Sonja Morgan Fires Back After Restaurant Ban—Says She Was Invited For A Promotional Post & Staff Was Aware

Sonja Morgan isn’t letting a restaurant ban ruin her appetite—or her sense of humor. Days after reports surfaced that the former Real Housewives of New York City star was blacklisted from Tucci, a popular NYC dining spot, Morgan took to Instagram to set the record straight—and share a new dinner invite.

According to Page Six, the drama started when Morgan allegedly refused to pay a $1,000 bill during a recent visit to Tucci. The outlet quoted a source claiming Sonja was “absolutely hysterical and refused to pay,” adding that she shouted, “I’m a celebrity!” and insisted, “I don’t pay; people pay me [to go to their restaurants].”

Tucci’s owner, Max Tucci, reportedly confirmed that Sonja is no longer welcome at the establishment.

But in true RHONY fashion, Sonja isn’t staying silent. “I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post. … I made that known to staff,” she clarified on Instagram, suggesting the blowup was all due to a “miscommunication.”

On the same day the report dropped, Sonja posted a screenshot of a recent DM inviting her out to dinner, seemingly in solidarity with her situation. The message, responding to a July 2024 post where she celebrated with interns at Il Tinello, read, “Please, if you’re in the city come by for dinner.”

That earlier post showed Sonja in high spirits, dining on Italian fare and reflecting on a major milestone: “Had a wonderful time celebrating the sale of my house with my interns at the classic and iconic Il Tinello … Amazing food & atmosphere.”

Still, the Tucci fallout hit a nerve. “I felt lost,” she admitted, referencing the whirlwind of negative headlines.

Whether you see it as diva behavior or a misunderstanding, one thing’s for sure: Sonja Morgan knows how to turn scandal into a story—and maybe even a dinner invite.

Yeah, there’s no firing back. There’s NOTHING presented that bolsters Sonja’s claims. She acted a fool, got her ass handed to her and RICHLY deserved it. The end. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/5070dcadbb6a92f2cb74a673a9c38d66b6968e75268c55d649dff700c81c1572.gif
