Sutton Stracke is offering a heartfelt apology to her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Garcelle Beauvais, after their recent fallout on the show. In a candid interview on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, the 53-year-old Bravo star took full responsibility for the pain she may have caused Garcelle, who felt distanced by Sutton during the latest season.
“I’m sorry for that,” Stracke admitted during the interview. “I would never want to hurt Garcelle, intentionally, so I’m sorry that she feels that way and I’m sorry that it went down like that.”
The Sutton Concept boutique owner expressed her regret over the situation, acknowledging that their once-close bond had been strained. “I just hate that this has happened,” Sutton continued. “Garcelle was a very good friend and I love her dearly.”
Throughout their time on RHOBH, Sutton and Garcelle formed a solid friendship. They had each other’s backs during numerous group confrontations and disagreements. However, as the drama unfolded in Season 14, Garcelle began to feel more isolated. She claimed that Sutton seemed to prioritize her relationships with other women in the cast, leaving Garcelle feeling unsupported.
The tension ultimately led to Garcelle’s decision to leave the show, a choice she revealed after a particularly heated reunion in March. While she refrained from badmouthing anyone, Garcelle shared on Instagram that she was stepping away from the spotlight for her family, particularly for her two sons, Oliver and her 17-year-old twins, Jaid and Jax.
In a move that added fuel to the fire, Garcelle unfollowed all of her former RHOBH co-stars, including Sutton, on social media. The only exceptions were Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly, who had smaller roles on the show.
Despite the tension, Sutton revealed during her SiriusXM appearance that she and Garcelle did have a conversation after Garcelle’s departure from the series. “I couldn’t talk to anybody because I knew that you would convince me not to leave,” Garcelle confided to Sutton. To which Sutton responded, “Yeah, that’s quite true.”
Looking ahead, Sutton expressed her desire to heal their friendship, saying she was hopeful that with time, they could repair what had been broken. “When you’re really close with someone and you get hurt in the relationship, sometimes you need some time away to heal,” she reflected. “I’m hoping that we can rectify and fix everything.”
She added that her plan was to have a “long, thoughtful conversation” with Garcelle “down the road”—in a private setting, away from the cameras and drama.
