The drama between Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Porsha Williams and Angela Oakley has had viewers talking, and now, Shamea Morton is speaking out about her role in the controversy. The drama took an unexpected turn when Porsha made a remark, suggesting she should sleep with Angela’s husband, Charles, just to get back at Angela. This sparked immediate tension, and while Shamea, who is married, laughed off the comment, her response—or lack thereof—has since caught the attention of fans and fellow cast members alike.
In a recent comment on social media, shared by the RHOA Talk, Shamea Morton addressed the situation, revealing her thoughts on her involvement in the drama. “Damned if I do, damned if I don’t,” Shamea wrote, acknowledging her mistake in laughing at the inappropriate comment. “I have learned the hard way that I need to mind my business. I apologized about laughing and my part in it. That’s not my fight,” she added, expressing regret for her involvement.
Shamea’s words came after Porsha jokingly suggested that Shamea get back at Angela by pursuing a relationship with her husband, a remark that many viewers felt was out of line. While Shamea Morton didn’t directly confront Porsha for the comment at the time, she now clarifies her stance, emphasizing that Angela’s forgiveness of Porsha should also extend to her own actions.
She went on to explain her reasoning further: “If Angela can forgive the person that actually said it, then surely my laughter can/should be forgiven. I’d never said that it was okay for her to say that. Furthermore, I don’t have to publicly chastise people. I can hold them accountable privately. Bottom line, she’s a grown woman. Not my problem. Not my fight.”
Despite her attempt to address the situation, many RHOA fans were disappointed in Shamea’s response. They expected a more direct confrontation with Porsha over her comment, and some felt that Shamea’s decision to stay out of the conflict altogether made her seem indifferent to the seriousness of the issue.
What do you think? Should Shamea have called out Porsha more directly, or is her “mind my business” approach valid?
