It seems like the friendship between Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and Garcelle Beauvais isn’t exactly on the best terms these days. Despite the pair’s past camaraderie on the show, Kyle recently revealed that Garcelle has not been responding to her attempts at reaching out.
In an interview with E! News, Kyle Richards opened up about her attempts to reconnect with Garcelle after her departure from the Real Housewives franchise. “I haven’t heard from her,” Kyle shared. “I texted her twice and haven’t heard back.” Clearly, there’s some distance between them, and it looks like Garcelle’s not interested in keeping the lines of communication open.
The tension between the two became evident during the RHOBH season 14 reunion, which aired on April 1. In the episode, Garcelle faced criticism from several of her castmates, including Kyle, for repeatedly probing about Kyle’s relationship with country singer Morgan Wade. Despite the rocky confrontation, Kyle still had kind words for Garcelle’s future endeavors. “It’s unfortunate she left, but I do wish her the best,” Kyle remarked. “I think she’ll always do well, so I’m not worried about her next chapter.”
Garcelle, who joined RHOBH in 2020, shocked fans when she announced her decision to leave the series earlier this year. In a heartfelt Instagram video, she explained her choice to step away, saying, “It’s been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride.” She revealed that her main focus now would be spending more time with her twin sons, Jax and Jaid, 17, and pursuing new professional projects.
Though her time on RHOBH has come to a close, Garcelle hasn’t completely shut the door on a potential return. “Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime,” she revealed. “The door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime.”
As for Kyle, fans can catch her next in Wild Cards, which premieres on The CW on April 9.
